One request, one call. That is the company.
What we do
You tell us what cover you need. We check that your details are real, confirm with you on WhatsApp, and pass your request to one licensed insurer or broker who calls you at a time you chose. We are paid a flat fee by that insurer. You pay nothing. That is the whole business.
Why we started
Anyone who has asked for an insurance quote online in South Africa knows what happens next. The calls start, and they do not stop. One form can turn into dozens of callers over weeks, none of whom you chose. On the other side, insurers pay for lists of people who never asked to be called and never answer.
We built Olvian to do the obvious thing: ask once, confirm it was you, and let one insurer call. It is slower to build than a database and more expensive than a bulk SMS. It is also the only version of this business we were willing to run.
Independence
No insurer owns any part of Olvian. We are not a broker and we do not hold a financial services licence, which means we cannot advise you and we do not try to. Every insurer on our panel pays the same kind of flat fee, and that fee never changes with what you buy. When we tell you an insurer will call, that is all we are telling you.
A note from the founder
I started Olvian because I did not think "one form, ninety calls" was a fair deal for anyone, and because I thought the fix was mostly manners and good engineering. We keep your consent word for word. We show you who will call before you agree. STOP means stop. If we ever fall short of that, my email is on the contact page.

What we are not
Olvian is a marketing and lead-referral service. We are not a licensed financial services provider, we do not give advice, and we do not sell insurance.
